Can my condition be treated with physiotherapy?

Our physiotherapists are experienced to treat a range of conditions and injuries, some of these conditions include:

  • Lower back, neck and shoulder pain (i.e. disc injuries, thoracic pain, shoulder impingement syndrome, sciatica, rotator cuff tears)

Our physiotherapists are university-trained healthcare professionals who have extensive education in assessing your physical condition and treating physical problems arising from disease, illness, injury and ageing.

Is a GP referral required?

A GP referral is not required to see a physiotherapist. The only exception is if you are referred on a Chronic Disease Management program. Your GP will refer you to a physiotherapist, please bring this referral to your first assessment.

Can my physiotherapy session be claimed on private health insurance?

Backfocus are registered providers for private health funds, Medicare, WorkCover, Transport Accident Commission and Veteran Affairs.
You can claim physiotherapy on private health insurance, check with your insurance provider to see the level of cover you have.
